**Job Description:**
The Ada County Highway District is seeking a highly skilled professional to join our team as an Environmental Engineer Specialist. As a key member of our environmental department, you will be responsible for managing the water quality engineering program and stormwater green infrastructure projects.
In this role, you will work under the supervision of the Environmental Manager to apply your knowledge of environmental sciences and civil engineering. Your primary responsibilities will include coordinating the water quality engineering program, managing stormwater green infrastructure projects, and serving as the stormwater quality representative on capital project teams.
To succeed in this position, you must have considerable knowledge of environmental sciences and civil engineering as they relate to design, repair, and construction of stormwater facilities with an emphasis on green stormwater infrastructure. Hydrology and hydrogeology knowledge and experience are also desired.
The ideal candidate will possess strong verbal and written communication skills, as well as proven ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with various stakeholders.
Requirements:
- A bachelor's degree in civil/environmental engineering and professional level engineering and environmental sciences experience.
- Registered Professional Engineer in Idaho or equivalent qualifications.
