General Equipment Operator
The Ada County Highway District is seeking a skilled General Equipment Operator to join its Broom Crew. This role offers a competitive hourly wage of $22.80-$26.30, depending on qualifications.
The position is based on a night shift schedule, with four 10-hour days from 10:30pm-9am. ACHD provides an excellent benefits package, including medical, vision, and dental insurance, paid time off, parental leave, retirement plan, and more.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate a street sweeper and 10-wheel dump truck under the supervision of the Broom Crew Chief.
- Respond to winter weather conditions and emergencies outside of regular work hours.
Qualifications:
- CURRENT Idaho Class 'A' CDL license (out-of-state licenses must be obtainable by start date). Tanker endorsement required within 30 days.
- Experience operating a 10-wheel dump truck or similar vehicle is essential; experience with sweepers is preferred.
- Ability to frequently lift up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds.
- Any combination of education, training, or experience meeting the required skills and abilities is acceptable.
