Crew Chief – Utility Crew

The Ada County Highway District is seeking a skilled Crew Chief to lead its Maintenance Division's Utility Crew.

This full-time, non-exempt position offers a competitive salary range of $29.80 - $34.30 per hour, depending on qualifications.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Supervise maintenance operations personnel engaged in maintenance work related to concrete repair and replacement, drainage, irrigation, and utility repairs.
2. Ensure compliance with all applicable safety standards and assist in budget preparation.
3. Estimate costs of material, labor, and equipment for maintenance activities and train crew members.
4. Contract jobs with local contractors when the workload warrants.

Essential Qualifications:

• A current Idaho Class A CDL license is required, with the ability to obtain an Idaho CDL by start of employment and a tanker endorsement within 30 days.
• Previous supervisory experience and the ability to operate all equipment associated with the performance of assigned tasks are essential.
• General computer skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office, email, and the internet, are also required.
