Job Overview
The Ada County Highway District is seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to fill the position of Leadworker on its Signal Construction crew within the Traffic Operations Department.
This is a full-time, non-exempt role with a competitive hourly wage. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a wide range of skilled functions associated with the construction and installation of traffic signals and related devices.
Key Responsibilities
- Under the direction of the Crew Chief, perform duties associated with the construction and installation of traffic signals and associated devices.
- Perform a variety of skilled functions, including laying conduit, installing wire, fiber cable, signal pole bases, signal poles, and wiring equipment associated with the installation of traffic signals.
- Assist with the direction of work for the crew and act as Crew Chief as required.
- Subject to 24-hour emergency on-call duty for a 7-day week on a rotating schedule.
