Zone Inspector (Fiber)
A high-level position in the Development Services department, responsible for monitoring and inspecting contractor compliance with District policy and specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor contractor compliance with District policy, specifications, and standards for work performed within public right-of-way areas of Ada County.
Qualifications
- Thorough knowledge of construction practices and procedures, materials used in construction, roadway development, ADA requirements, and traffic safety procedures.
- Ability to perform mathematical engineering calculations, read and interpret construction specifications and drawings, and prepare effective inspection notes and testing documentation.
- Valid Idaho driver's license, certifications for Nuclear Safety and Responsible Person for erosion and sediment control, and WAQTC Certifications within specified timeframes.
- Proficiency in computer programs such as Word, Excel, Outlook, TrakIt, and GIS software, with ability to frequently lift and carry up to 50 lbs. and occasionally up to 100 lbs.
