Position Overview:
Ada Exempted Village Schools is seeking a dedicated and innovative instructor to lead our Advanced Manufacturing & Engineering Program at Ada High School. This program was made possible by a $633,000 CTE Equipment Grant, which provides state-of-the-art tools, industry partnerships, and funding for teacher training and credentialing. Ada students are hardworking, and parents value education. The community is very supportive of the school and invested in the future of our students.
Qualified candidates include:
✅ Technology Education, Industrial Technology, or Industrial Arts teachers
✅ Teachers with CTE certification in a related field
✅ PLTW-certified teachers
✅ Math, Science, or Technology Education teachers eligible for PLTW certification
✅ Individuals with manufacturing, engineering, or industrial technology experience.

Qualifications:
Must meet all Ohio teacher education and licensure requirements, holding or being eligible for a valid Ohio teaching license in Technology Education, or Industrial Technology, a Career Technical Education (CTE) license requiring five years of industry experience, or the ability to obtain licensure in a relevant CTE field such as Engineering Technology, Industrial Technology, Robotics, or Manufacturing.
Project Lead the Way (PLTW) - certified teachers, as well as math or science teachers eligible for PLTW certification, are encouraged to apply
Strong background in manufacturing, engineering, automation, or robotics preferred.
Experience in CAD, blueprint reading, CNC machining, welding, construction, or industrial systems is a plus.
Commitment to hands-on learning, career preparation, and student engagement.
Ability to pass a BCI/FBI background check and meet all state licensure requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
Teach advanced manufacturing and engineering courses aligned with Ohio’s CTE standards.
Implement hands-on, project-based learning experiences using CNC machining, welding, 3D printing, construction technologies, fluid power, robotics, automation, and CAD software.
Prepare students for industry-recognized credentials and technical careers.
Establish and maintain partnerships with local industries to support student internships and work-based learning.
Participate in grant-funded training to obtain relevant credentials and stay current with industry advancements.
Support student recruitment, program growth, and community engagement.
Program Courses:
Manufacturing & Engineering Technology – Print reading, fluid power, small engines, CNC machining, and welding.
Applied Construction & Manufacturing Technology – CAD, precision measurement, woodworking, and home maintenance.
Advanced Robotics & Automation – Industrial robotics, automation and logic control, programming, and industry applications.
Senior Capstone: Applied Engineering, Manufacturing & Skilled Trades – Individual projects, work placement, and community service.
