Job Summary:

We are seeking a friendly, professional, and customer-oriented Front Desk Associate to join our team at [Hotel Name]. The Front Desk Associate will be the first point of contact for our guests and will play a crucial role in ensuring a positive guest experience. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong attention to detail, and a passion for providing outstanding customer service. Responsibilities include greeting guests, managing check-in and check-out processes, handling reservations, and addressing guest inquiries and concerns.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet and welcome guests upon arrival and departure with a friendly and professional demeanor.
  • Manage the check-in and check-out processes efficiently and accurately.
  • Handle guest reservations, cancellations, and modifications promptly.
  • Answer and manage incoming calls, emails, and messages from guests.
  • Address guest inquiries, requests, and complaints in a timely and satisfactory manner.
  • Maintain accurate guest records and update the hotel management system as necessary.
  • Process payments and handle cash, credit card, and other forms of transactions.
  • Provide information about the hotel's services, amenities, and local attractions.
  • Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance staff to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the front desk supervisor or hotel management.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality or customer service training is a plus.
  • Previous experience in a hotel front desk or customer service role preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with hotel management software (e.g., Opera, Amadeus, or similar) and basic computer skills.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform light physical tasks as needed.

Working Conditions:

  • Work is performed in a hotel lobby and front desk area.
  • Shifts may include mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • The role requires standing for extended periods, handling guest luggage occasionally, and performing other light physical tasks.
  • A fast-paced environment that requires excellent time management and customer service skills.
  • Interaction with a diverse range of guests, requiring patience and professionalism.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 32 per week
