Job Duties And Responsibilities
- Conducts psychiatric screenings, crisis interventions, and mental health assessments for children and adolescents, ensuring diagnoses align with DSM-V-TR and ICD-10 standards. Develops and implements individualized treatment plans while maintaining client rights, informed consent, and confidentiality.
- Oversees and directs treatment plans, including therapy, counseling, case management, crisis intervention, and progress assessments. Provides clinical supervision for Mental Health Professionals and offers input on hiring and termination decisions (3-4 MHPs).
- Performs individual and family therapy, ensures clients are connected to appropriate treatment, educational, social, and medical resources, and participates in client-centered social and recreational activities.
- Maintains compliance with agency policies and state regulations (Illinois Department of Mental Health & Developmental Disabilities, Department of Children & Family Services). Engages in continuous training and skill development.
- Prepares and presents cases for clinical reviews, maintains accurate records of service provision, scheduling, itineraries, travel, statistics, and billing.
- Coordinates with internal and external agencies for client services, participates in community planning and advocacy, and fulfills after-hours and on-call responsibilities as needed.
- This position requires travel within the Chicago Cook County area to provide services to clients in various locations.
