ADAC’s paid summer internship program takes place each year in May and runs through August. For 13 weeks, you will apply the concepts you have learned in the classroom to actual business situations and scenarios. Take advantage of your summer break to build your resume, learn and grow in a real-world environment.
The program features collaboration among your fellow interns and ADAC professionals. In addition to team-based community outreach and philanthropic initiatives, the internship program concludes with a final joint capstone project and presentation. The project requires you to apply your research, problem solving and innovation skills to understand and identify a solution to a specific and relevant company business opportunity or challenge.
To complete the capstone project, your program cohort will formally present your recommendations to ADAC’s executive team.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Utilize finance, accounting, analytical, and business acumen as part of financial and operational initiatives, including monthly accounting processes, budget and forecast preparation, and financial reporting
- Assignment of a mentor to facilitate a broader view of the Corporate Finance function
- Projects designed to improve a defined process within the Corporate Finance function will be assigned to each Intern to plan and execute during the internship
- Collaborate with various departments for reporting requests
- Enter and track general ledger entries
Education & Experience:
- Pursuing a bachelor’s degree with a concentration in Corporate Finance or related.
- Prior internship experience
Other Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Knowledgeable and proficient in PC based software applications
- Ability to work a regular 8-hour day, Monday through Friday for 13 weeks
- MS Excel or equivalent
- Data, business, operational, or statistical analysis
