Position summary: The Product Manager will strategically drive ADAC’s product and technology planning, development, market launch and improvements. This role will focus on the product vision, market trends and identification of new opportunities in collaboration with the engineering, business development and marketing teams. This role will lead technical discussions with OEM’s and non-traditional customers for ADAC’s Electronics products and ingredient technologies.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Manages product planning for new and existing Electronics products and technologies by gathering key customer requirements, assessing demands, ensuring technical feasibility, and cost effectiveness
- Researches new technologies, products, business segments and provides information to the R&D and advance development teams.
- Closely collaborates with R&D, advanced development and the sales team to open opportunities with new and existing customers.
- Leveraging data to assess market needs including benchmarking for current and potential new products and categories.
- Collaborate on product features and target platform planning in collaboration with the engineering design teams.
- Defining incremental growth opportunities and product enhancements.
- Identifying critical skillset/tools/processes/testing to ensure success of the product.
- Communicating and aligning with all stakeholders (sales/business development, engineering, purchasing etc.)
- Planning of demos and marketing materials to showcase the ADAC product platforms.
- Ensure products meet ADAC’s business goals/established metrics and align with overall product strategy objectives.
- Develop product line business cases including payback analysis that quantifies product strategy around growth potential and required investments; identify synergies within and across product lines
- Active participation in the quoting process to ensure reuse across customers.
- Supporting the marketing plan process for the company.
- Understanding customer success criteria as it relates to the products and working with the sales team to develop the value proposition.
- Leading Product Planning workshops with our customers.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s in engineering, Computer Engineering, Business or equivalent technical degree or diploma program
- Minimum 7 years of direct experience of leading R&D and/or engineering design teams such as System, Software, Electrical and Mechanical in automotive or electronics industries
- Minimum 5 years’ experience leading cross-functional projects that integrate business processes, technologies and organizational capabilities to ensure product and technology revenue stream within organizational profit targets.
