Program Summary:

Make a difference in the automotive industry by applying for ADAC Automotive’s internship program today.

ADAC’s paid summer internship program takes place each year in May and runs through August. For 12 weeks, you will apply the concepts you have learned in the classroom to actual business situations and scenarios. Take advantage of your summer break to build your resume, learn and grow in a real-world environment.

The program features collaboration among your fellow interns and ADAC professionals. In addition to team-based community outreach and philanthropic initiatives, the internship program concludes with a final joint capstone project and presentation. The project requires you to apply your research, problem solving and innovation skills to understand and identify a solution to a specific and relevant company business opportunity or challenge.

To complete the capstone, your program cohort will formally present your recommendations to ADAC’s executive team. 

Position Summary:

The Validation Lab Intern will learn the aspects of complete testing and and validation of products and product lines according to customer requirements, including cross functional support; investigate currently outsourced "large flow water testing"  in house that meets customer specifications. including a BOM with approximate cost. Help Validation Coordinators write work instructions for new programs launching while updating and upgrading the report formating and content requirements to today's standards. May also support the DBU and EE teams as needed.

Training certification in related Automotive and Plastics engineering disciplines a plus 

Supervision Received:

General Direction: Plans and arranges own work. Uses a wide range of procedures to accomplish assigned objectives.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities:

No supervision: No supervisory responsibilities.

 

Other Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

1.       APQP, FMEA, CAE, DFM, Product design, MS Project, GD&T, Problem solving methods, Lean practices.

2.       Active engagement in selling new programs, changes, and ADAC/VAST to our global customers.

3.       Understanding of accounting principles as they relate to cost estimating, budget tracking, and return on investment.

 

Education & Experience:

1.       Majoring in one of the following (or equivalent):

a.       Engineering (Mechanical or Plastics) or Operations Management

b.       Experience in engineering and/or management in plastics design, manufacturing, and quality
