Proposal Manager

Role Overview:
We are seeking a Proposal Manager to join our dynamic team based in Montreal. The ideal candidate will have an engineering background to grasp technical concepts quickly, project management experience, and a strong business mindset. This role requires someone who thrives in a collaborative environment, can lead a team of contributors, and ensures the delivery of compelling and winning proposals. Excellent proficiency in English, both speaking and writing, is essential.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Proposal Development: Coordinate and develop high-quality technical and commercial proposals by collaborating with cross-functional teams, including technical experts, sales, contract and finance.
· Technical Understanding: Quickly understand and integrate technical information into proposals to align with client requirements
· Cost Evaluation: Being able to assess and challenge proposed costs
· Project Management: Manage the proposal process from initiation to submission, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
· Stakeholder Coordination: Work closely with contributors to gather necessary inputs, resolve challenges, and maintain alignment with project goals.
· Business Focus: Identify and emphasize key value propositions to make proposals competitive and client focused.
· Continuous Improvement: Analyze past proposals, gather feedback, and implement improvements to enhance future submissions.
Supervisory Responsibilities:

Qualifications
Desired Competencies:
· Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field (required).
· Experience:
o Minimum 4 years of combined relevant experiences (required).
o Proven experience in project management (required).
o Prior experience in proposal development (strongly preferred) and technical sales support (desired).
o Knowledge of Shipley proposal methodology (desired)
· Skills:
o Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
o Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
o Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
o Proficiency in working with costing and pricing based on contributors' data.
o Problem-solving mindset with a focus on results.
o Excellent written and spoken English
