Position Summary:
We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Dance Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be skilled in teaching ballet, tap, and jazz to students ranging from beginner to advanced levels. This individual should be passionate about dance education, able to inspire students, and committed to helping them achieve their fullest potential.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons in ballet, tap, and jazz for various skill levels.
- Create and maintain a positive, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Develop and refine students’ technique, performance skills, and confidence.
- Choreograph routines for recitals, competitions, or special events as needed.
- Monitor and evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback.
- Communicate effectively with parents, students, and studio management.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all students during classes.
- Stay current with industry trends and new teaching methodologies.
Qualifications:
- Proficient in ballet, tap, and jazz dance techniques.
- Previous experience teaching dance to children, teens, and/or adults.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work with students of varying abilities and learning styles.
- A positive, professional attitude and a passion for dance education.
- Relevant dance experience, experience with choreography for performances or competitions.
Schedule and Compensation:
- Flexible based on class schedule.
- Compensation will be competitive and based on experience and qualifications.
