SENIOR ACCOUNTANT
Adagio Health Inc is looking to hire a full-time Senior Accountant for its Pittsburgh, PA central office.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepares monthly general ledger reconciliations of key balance sheet and income statement accounts.
- Coordinates month-end and year-end close processes. Including reviewing all bank reconciliations, journal entries and review or update of organization's general and subsidiary ledgers.
- Creation of financial statements, in conjunction with the CFO, necessary for month-end and year-end close, board meetings, grantor/funders policies, and lenders. Documents include a trial balance, a statement of revenue and expense reports, and a balance sheet.
- Assists with the review and maintenance of Accounting policies and procedures, monitoring for new funding requirements.
- Performs work preparation for annual audit and interim work by providing necessary coordination with the independent auditing firm, including support schedules and analyses as required.
- Assists in budget preparation for the organization, directly owned and managed sites and various programs.
- Maintains fixed asset records accounting software and computes monthly depreciation.
- Preparation of IRS W-2's, 1099's and 941's statements for submission.
- Monthly responsibility for the preparation of grant draws or reimbursement invoices for various grantors and funders, while maintaining detailed records and documentation supporting the information submitted.
- All other duties as requested.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR A SENIOR ACCOUNTANT
- A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field with 3-5 years of related work experience preferred.
- Experience with automated financial accounting systems and third-party automated billing processes strongly desired.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word & Excel and excellent communication skills are required.
- Minimal regional travel, as necessary.
