Adair-Casey Elementary 3rd Grade Teacher- (2025-2026 school year)
PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Develop and implement an instructional program that will effectively provide the best possible education for each student.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Valid certification to meet state requirements with specific endorsement in the area which assigned; multiple endorsements are desirable.
2. Outstanding knowledge of academic subject matter and continuing activities to expand this knowledge.
3. Demonstrated leadership abilities evidencing an ability to command respect and enforce discipline in the classroom.
4. Acceptable references of teaching experience or student teaching experience, if applicable.
5. Knowledge and experience in basic computer hardware; working knowledge of instructional software and classroom applications.
6. Demonstrated interest in the community and its students.

2. Subject Matter
- Demonstrate knowledge of the subject(s) being taught and ability to impart subject matter proficiency to students,

- Demonstrate ability to impart learning skills to students.
- Demonstrate ability to improve students' use of written language.
3. Planning/Materials
- Maintain an organized program of instruction based on well-defined long-range plans.
- Exhibit evidence of effective daily lesson plans.
- Utilize a variety of appropriate materials and resources, including research, primary materials and practical learning applications.
4. Techniques/Delivery
- Communicate lesson objective and its importance to students.
- Utilize appropriate varied teaching techniques and learning activities, with emphasis on achieving mastery of fundamental language, mathematics, science, and social science skills, including independent reading, home study, lab work and writing.
- Use out-of-class assignments, when appropriate, to support instructional objectives.
- Maintain an effective system by monitoring student progress and to inform appropriate personnel.

- Maintain discipline appropriate to the learning situation, using positive reinforcement and constructive criticism.
- Keep students on task.

- Comply with school and school board policies and regulations.
