Job Summary: We are seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Dental Treatment Coordinator to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for facilitating patient care by coordinating treatment plans, scheduling appointments, handling patient inquiries, and ensuring smooth communication between patients and dental providers. The Dental Treatment Coordinator will play a crucial role in enhancing the patient experience while helping the practice operate efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the dental team to create and manage customized treatment plans for patients.
- Explain treatment plans, procedures, and insurance options to patients, ensuring they understand their care and financial commitments.
- Schedule patient appointments and follow up on treatment plans to ensure timely completion.
- Handle patient inquiries, address concerns, and ensure a positive experience from the initial consultation to post-treatment.
- Coordinate with insurance providers to verify benefits and obtain pre-authorization for treatments.
- Process insurance claims and follow up on claim statuses to ensure timely reimbursement.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including treatment plans, progress notes, and financial arrangements.
- Assist in presenting treatment options to patients, including financing solutions.
- Ensure the treatment area is organized and well-prepared for each patient visit.
- Provide administrative support, including filing, managing patient correspondence, and maintaining office supplies.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s degree or higher preferred).
- Previous experience in a dental office, medical office, or customer service role is a plus.
- Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and insurance policies is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in using dental management software (experience with [insert software name, if applicable] is a plus).
