- Implement site-specific safety plans and protocols in accordance with EM 385-1-1 and OSHA standards.
- Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify hazards and implement corrective measures.
- Facilitate safety training sessions for all site personnel, ensuring understanding and compliance with safety practices.
- Maintain clear and open lines of communication with project management and staff regarding safety issues and concerns.
- Prepare and submit daily and weekly safety reports, documenting safety metrics, incidents, and corrective actions taken.
- Coordinate and conduct incident investigations, root cause analyses, and develop preventive measures to avoid future occurrences.
- Monitor compliance with all applicable safety regulations and standards, ensuring corrective actions are taken when necessary.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for safety-related inquiries and concerns on the project site.
- Current 40-Hour EM 385-1-1 certification.
- Current First Aid/CPR certification.
- OSHA 30 certification.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- OSHA 500 certification.
- Previous experience in solar or renewable energy projects.
- Ability to perform fieldwork in varying environmental conditions.
- Ability to lift up to 25lbs and stand and walk for extended periods.
