About Shriver Job Corps Center
The Shriver Job Corps Center provides students with the opportunity to earn their High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED), and hands-on training in the following areas : Advanced Computer Systems Administration, Advanced Transportation Service Worker, Various Computer Sciences, CNA, Automotive Maintenance, Millwright Welding, Office Administration and Security & Protective Services.
Our 21-acre campus is nestled away minutes off of RTE 2, and 2A on Jackson Road in Devens MA. We service between 200 and 300 dorm students ages 16 to 24 years old at any given time with rolling admissions weekly. Our staff value the student experience and often cite the personal impact of what we do as a major factor of employment satisfaction. In addition, we have amenities that are open for staff to utilize such as a gym, basketball courts, full service cafeteria and more.
Position Summary :
Responsible to provide preventative and emergency health services and wellness education to students age 16 - 24. Evaluates, determines and recommends appropriate medical, mental health and dental services for student population. Ensures confidentiality of sensitive information and compliance with all HIPAA laws
Responsibilities
- Assists Wellness Director to coordinate and provide medical and mental health services for students age 16 - 24
- Medicine administration and maintenance of medical records in compliance with local and federal guidelines
- Assists with conducting cursory medical examinations for students
- Perform first aid, bedside care, and other wellness services
- Maintain a clean, organized and sanitary environment within the Wellness Center
- Ensure Compliance with HIPAA and other applicable laws and regulations regarding patient privacy and the maintenance of medical records.
