Position :
Facilities Maintenance Manager is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of the facilities buildings, equipment, and infrastructure to ensure they operate efficiently and safely.
Primary Duties :
Manages all facilities operations and maintenance activities to include corrective and preventive maintenance, grounds maintenance, and janitorial activities. The Maintenance Manager should have supervisory authority over the maintenance team including management of subcontracted activities.
Job Responsibilities :
- Develop and implement maintenance plans for buildings, equipment, and systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.).
- Supervise maintenance staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
- Schedule and oversee routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and emergency repairs.
- Manage maintenance budgets, negotiate vendor contracts, and ensure cost-effective operations.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and environmental standards.
- Maintain records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.
- Coordinate with other departments to minimize operational disruptions.
- Oversee facility upgrades, renovations, and new construction projects.
- Monitor inventory of maintenance supplies and order replacements as needed.
- Implement energy efficiency and sustainability initiatives.
Qualifications & Skills
High School Diploma or equivalent required. Associate Arts Degree or technical certification preferred.
