Adams & Reese has an immediate opening for a full-time Trust Specialist. This position will work in our New Orleans office Monday through Friday providing support, as needed, to all locations within the firm’s footprint. Prior law office or banking experience is ideal as well as being detail-oriented, organized, self-sufficient and possess the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

This position requires sitting for long periods of time while operating a computer. At times, employees are required to work in excess of the normal work schedule. Employees in this position must be mobile, have the ability to bend, and have the ability to lift and carry files weighing approximately 5 lbs.

Responsibilities:
- Manage and process all requested trust transactions submitted daily by various staff and attorneys.
- Prepare and enter outgoing wire requests and inter-bank transfers via an online banking system.
- Review trust bank activity to ensure all incoming and outgoing trust transactions have been properly accounted for.
- Compose routine correspondence and emails, as needed.
- Provide supporting trust records to partners, associates and other legal staff as requested.
- Photocopying, scanning, and saving documents to cloud-based file management system.
Supervision Received and/or Given:
- Supervision given by Financial Accounts Manager
Minimum Acceptable Qualifications:
- Up to three years experience in a law office or banking environment.
- Proficient with Power PDF Advanced and Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Strong professional communication and interpersonal skills in dealing with all levels of the firm (attorneys, secretaries, administration, and other members of staff).
- The ability to understand and follow oral and written directions.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
- Reliability, efficiency, teamwork, professionalism, ability to multi-task, and attention to detail are essential.
- Must be able to work independently and prioritize work.
- Creative problem-solving skills.
- Flexibility to adjust to the role as it evolves.
