Adams Communication & Engineering Technology (ACET), Incorporated is a Veteran Owned Small Business (VOSB) system engineering and information technology firm, headquartered in Maryland and Virginia. Incorporated in 1999, we support mission critical Information Technology (IT) business needs for clients within the intelligence community (IC), Department of Defense (DOD), Veteran Administration (VA) and for select commercial clients. SCOPE
The individual will draw upon his/her expertise in microgrids to design, develop and deliver a pilot for a four-course certificate in Microgrid Security. The certificate’s academic content will support instruction on microgrids and power systems, as well as leveraging emerging technologies to support critical energy infrastructure.
The certificate will consist of four courses offered over four consecutive academic quarters, and will be administered as a distributed learning program, where classroom instruction is provided asynchronously. The following courses will be created to meet the educational requirement.
o Quarter 1: Fundamentals of Microgrids (EN0001)
o Quarter 2: Microgrids in Context (EN0002)
o Quarter 3: Microgrid Acquisition (EN0003)
o Quarter 4: Microgrid Mission Engineering (EN0004)
KEY TASKS
Curriculum Design and Development:
The contractor will design and develop four courses in the Microgrids Security graduate pilot certificate program. It is expected that the contractors will accomplish this effort in conjunction with NPS faculty members and other subject matter experts, with extensive operational and teaching experience.
