GENERAL DESCRIPTION :
The Accounting Associate is a position that will allow the selected candidate the opportunity to be exposed to various competencies within the organization. The Accounting Associate supports the overall objectives of the global finance and accounting located in Roanoke, VA. The position will be responsible for Accounts Payable processing, Accounts Receivable support, equipment time entry, processing third party payable requests and numerous other duties. The ideal candidate should demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Office products, and the ability to learn various accounting applications and participate in implementation of new technology.
- Assume responsibility for the timeliness and the accuracy of accounts payable invoice input
- Review vouchers, invoices, account statements, check requests and other documents
- Credit card reconciliations
- Process truck hire invoices and maintain truck vendor records
- Provide any required assistance to office management
- Provide excellent customer service to customers, internal and external - answering questions,
providing information, making referrals and assuring appropriate follow-up
