As a key member of our asphalt paving crew, you'll be responsible for safely operating multi-axle highway equipment to transport construction materials and equipment. Your attention to detail and ability to follow schedules will ensure timely deliveries and high-quality results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and maneuver heavy equipment to load, transport, and unload construction materials and equipment.
- Follow schedules for pickup and delivery of materials, verifying types and weights as needed.
- Communicate effectively with other equipment operators and truck drivers to ensure deliveries meet job specifications and timetables.
- Maintain trucks in good working order, performing minor repairs and servicing as necessary.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Valid Class B commercial driver's license with proper endorsements.
- At least one year of experience in heavy equipment operation, with a clean driving record and valid DOT physical.
- Ability to lift and carry 15-30 pounds, with good coordination and math skills.
