Position Overview :
The Underground Utility Foreman is a working foreman position responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of a small crew focused on installing new underground utilities and performing repairs under maintenance contracts. This role requires hands-on involvement, including operating equipment and performing manual labor, such as fitting pipe. The Foreman ensures all activities are conducted safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards, reporting directly to the Underground Utility Manager.
Key Responsibilities :
- Crew Supervision :
Lead and manage the daily activities of the crew, ensuring adherence to project schedules and plans.
Enforce safety protocols and conduct regular site inspections.
Operate construction equipment as needed to support project goals.
Motivate and guide the crew, fostering a high-performance culture.
Manage on-site resources efficiently, including labor, materials, and equipment.
Identify potential issues promptly and develop effective solutions.
Maintain accurate on-site documentation and reports for project progress.
Serve as the primary on-site contact for clients and stakeholders.

Ensure all on-site activities are completed on schedule without compromising quality or budget.
