Job Summary: Works with patients who have been diagnosed with ailments, such as coronary artery disease, angina, asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, emphysema and heart attack conditions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following; other duties may be assigned.
Associate’s degree (A. A.), Certificate, Ohio respiratory therapy license, and six months to one year related experience and/or training.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following; other duties may be assigned.
- Makes sure patients understand their condition and their prescribed medical regimen
- Identifies unique risk factors, such as smoking, hypertension, poor diet and other lifestyle factors that may be contributing to the patient’s health problems
- Educates and supports patient sin making healthier choices
- Recommends interventions ranging from lifestyle changes to medical treatments that could help reduce health risk
- Helps patients understand when they can safely resume normal activity
- Designs and monitors appropriate exercise programs
