The Poverty Reduction and Community Equity Manager is a key thought and culture leader for a multi-disciplinary department that aims to Improve Systems, Strengthen Neighborhoods, and Elevate People. The Manager is grounded in the principles of justice, equity, diversity, and inclusivity, and balances technical competency with strong interpersonal relations. This position leads County-wide efforts in poverty, homelessness, and equity through evidence-driven approaches that leverage regional partnerships and cross-sector community stakeholders. This position oversees collaborative efforts in the development, implementation, and management of highly complex programs and works with the Adams County Board of County Commissioners, Community and Economic Development, Human Services, and Health Department, among others, to shape policy and initiatives that improve outcomes. The Poverty Reduction and Community Equity Manager focuses on justice in designing, implementing, and managing programs that bring about meaningful change and achieve equity for vulnerable and historically marginalized populations.
Professional Experience: Minimum of two (2) years as a supervisor and/or lead in the related field with an additional two (2) years of general service in the related field.
Academic Experience: None required. Up to four (4) years towards combined experience for completion of a related, accredited degree program(s); or, up to one (1) year for demonstrated higher education on a six (6) month basis of full-time enrollment.
*One semester equals six (6) months; two (2) semesters equal one (1) year. Transcript required.

Lived experience includes justice system involvement, incarceration, poverty and homelessness, and/or behavioral health.
License or Certificate: Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid Colorado driver's license within two (2) weeks of hire date.

- Reduces homelessness through the development of an integrated crisis response and prevention system to address homelessness across the housing continuum.
- Oversees the Poverty Reduction Division’s grant applications, partnership-alignment, awards, and reporting. These include Federal grants, State grants and those secured from other governmental grants and private foundations.
- Ensures internal and external partners are bought together to identify duplication, gaps, and issues arising with perspective and current poverty and homelessness interventions.
- Coaches, counsels, and supports staff to maximize efficiency and effectiveness; educates and advises staff of organizational rules, regulations, policies and procedures.
- Delivers formal, engaging presentations to internal and external partners, including elected bodies, neighborhood organizations, and industry experts.
- Acts as the Director/Deputy Director of the department during times in which the Director and/or Deputy Director is absent.
- Performs any other duties as needed to drive the vision, fulfill the mission, and abide by the values of the organization.
