This mid-level position assists in the planning, installation, and monitoring of the operation of Adams County's server environment. The administrator will work with current technologies, including virtualization and blade systems. This position also has responsibilities for Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange and other Microsoft technologies.

Administers, installs and troubleshoots a variety of operating systems. Performs systems maintenance tasks, such as system back-up, recovery and file maintenance. Schedules, installs, and tests system software upgrades. Configures software and resolves technical problems. Monitors and maintains software licensing and maintenance agreements.

- Performs complex setup, installation, and configuration of physical and virtual servers
- Assists with the management of the data center and computer host systems including hardware, software and equipment
- Creates and administers file, print, and application shares on the server platforms
- Assists with the troubleshooting, maintenance, repair of hardware, operating systems, and application software
- Assists with backup and recovery operations
- Perform other related duties and responsibilities as required
- Accurately and thoroughly record information into ticket tracking software
- Follows up and communicates ticket information to users when appropriate

- Experience:
- 3 years of verifiable experience with desktop hardware, software applications, operating systems and network connectivity.
- Education and Training:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.
- License or Certificate:
- Ability to complete the Azure Associate Administrator certification within 6 months of hire.
- Possession of or the ability to obtain a valid Colorado Driver’s License is required.
- Background Check: Must pass a criminal background check.

- Ability to travel to other facilities as required within the scope of the job
- Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift a minimum of 25 lbs.
- Requires long periods of sitting at a desk, up to 8 hours a day.
- Repeated movements including standing, sitting, kneeling, lifting, and bending in and around users' desks.
Salary : $80,143 - $116,208
