Your Day-to-Day
- Oversee cashier operations, ensuring efficient transaction processing, accurate cash handling, and high-quality customer service.
- Address unexpected issues such as staffing gaps, employee conflicts, and inventory discrepancies promptly and effectively
- Handle customer concerns to ensure satisfaction and maintain brand reputation
- Conduct check-ins with each team member during overlapping shifts to ensure alignment in department responsibilities, address concerns, and maintain effective communication
- Dedicate focused time away from departmental operations to complete administrative tasks efficiently
- Create staff schedules in alignment with employee’s availability and oversee payroll accuracy to meet operational needs and budget goals
- Provide appropriate training, guidance, and ongoing development to build a skilled and effective team
- Oversee inventory levels and manage purchasing to meet customer demand and minimize waste
- Maintain accurate and organized records to ensure compliance and operational efficiency
- Facilitate job interviews, manage disciplinary discussions, and develop employee success plans to align individual goals with company objectives
- Assist store management with departmental operations and contribute to overall store objectives
- Maintain a thorough understanding of workplace safety protocols and loss prevention strategies
- Analyze departmental reports to identify trends, measure performance, and guide decision-making
- Support all departmental functions and positions to ensure smooth and efficient operations
What you bring to the Farm
- Proven experience leading and mentoring cashier teams, ensuring efficient operations, exceptional customer service, and adherence to company policies.
- Ability to demonstrate, encourage, and set the example of Adams’ culture and values
- Consistently deliver exceptional service by addressing customer needs promptly, resolving issues effectively, and ensuring a positive shopping experience.
- Skilled in using Windows-based software and communication platforms to efficiently manage tasks, share information, and support team collaboration.
- Ability to learn and operate Adams’ point of sale systems
- Exhibit enthusiasm, positivity and/or knowledge about Adams’ products and quality
- Ability to make informed decisions that align with departmental goals and company objectives, ensuring optimal outcomes while balancing operational efficiency and organizational priorities.
- Proactively identify opportunities for improvement, take ownership of tasks, and implement solutions without requiring direction, showcasing a commitment to achieving goals and driving success.
- Ability to maintain awareness of and actively promote support office initiatives to ensure seamless implementation and alignment with company objectives.
- Work closely with store management to lead and communicate effectively with team members, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
Working Conditions
- Ability to work varied hours/days to oversee department operations
- Ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
- Ability to observe details at close range
- Constantly operate computer and POS System as well as other office productivity machinery, such as calculator, copy machine, and computer printer
- Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers for duration of shift
- Consistently move, adjust, and position items weighing up to 50 pounds
- Moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces
- Ability to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time
- Occasionally ascend/descend a stepstool, stepladder, and/or ladder
- Exposure to outdoor weather conditions
