General Purpose
The Office Service Writer provides customer-friendly service to our valuable customers and provides the quality products that Adams is known for. This means providing outstanding customer service, being a direct point of contact for customers, consulting them on their power equipment needs, and providing timely status updates to both customers and co-workers.
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Reports to: Service Manager
Principle Responsibilities
- Ensure that customers receive the best customer service by providing friendly, polite, and knowledgeable service
- Greet customers personally and thank them appreciatively for shopping at Adams
- Answer phones and provide excellent customer service
- Create, Bill, Review and Finalize work orders
- Contact customers when their equipment is complete and ready for pick up
- Schedule/Coordinate appointments in regards to pick-ups, deliveries and on-road repairs
- Communicate estimates on repairs
- Work directly with customers
- Utilize filing system and file daily invoices
- Data entry
- Track, order and organize Office supplies
- Create invoices
- Collection calls
- Mail and organize monthly statements
- Maintain an organized, clean work space
- Help other departments as needed
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to use multi-line phones
- Must be able to sit for long periods of time and/or walk into yard and shop as needed
- Able to lift up to 25 lbs.
Knowledge Skills & Abilities
- Demonstrate knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications
- Comfortable with math and calculations
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Must be able to clearly explain repairs to customers
- Excellent record keeping skills
- Ability to establish effective and professional working relationships with co-workers and management
- Ability to provide excellent customer service to all of Adams’ managers and employees
