Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Art Framer to join our creative team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for art and craftsmanship, with experience in framing techniques and materials. As an Art Framer, you will be responsible for preparing and assembling various framing projects, ensuring that each piece is completed to the highest standards of quality. Your expertise in installation and restoration will contribute to enhancing the aesthetic appeal of artworks while preserving their integrity.
Duties
- Measure and cut mat boards, glass, and frame materials to fit specific artwork dimensions.
- Assemble frames using various techniques, ensuring precision and attention to detail.
- Install artwork into frames, ensuring proper alignment and secure fitting.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their framing needs and provide expert recommendations.
- Perform drywall installation and repairs as needed during the framing process.
- Assist with remodeling projects that involve art installations or display enhancements.
- Utilize CNC machinery for custom framing designs when necessary.
- Conduct water damage restoration on framed pieces when required, ensuring the preservation of artwork.
- Hang doors or assist with other carpentry tasks related to framing projects as needed.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in art framing or a related field is preferred.
- Strong skills in carpentry, including drywall installation and remodeling techniques.
- Familiarity with CNC machinery is a plus.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating strong communication skills.
