Project Analyst- BI

This is largely a project-based role focused on the immediate business need to implement Business Intelligence Reporting in Power BI across the Adams Group of companies. The initial project is beginning January 2025 with the FY2026 budgeting cycle and will be a major initiative through March 2025, at which time the project will either continue or transition to maintenance mode. This position has career growth into ERP Administration, Accounting/Finance, and Business Analyst positions. The BI Project Analyst reports directly to the ERP Project Manager.

This position directly supports the BI Project efforts by executing a large amount of detailed work and coordinating with a variety of stakeholders; as such, excellent communication skills and organization are required.

Job Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

• Liaison and project manage between Accounting, IT, and Operations teams to identify needs, create, test, validate, and implement Business Intelligence reporting across all levels of the organization.
• Use knowledge of business processes across Adams group of companies to streamline and optimize reporting solutions to make maximum positive impact across department level goals
• Work with stakeholders to create documentation around accounting and reporting procedures and metrics
• Use critical thinking and business knowledge to verify accuracy of reported figures; troubleshoot discrepancies or incongruencies in numbers
• Communicate and collaborate with stakeholders to identify improvement areas in business processes related to ERP system; model current and future state processes
• Gather requirements and produce deliverables on business intelligence reporting needs for wide variety of stakeholders from supervisors to management group
• Work with IT, Accounting, to support data representation and reporting efforts, including PBI report writing in conjunction with PBI developer as needed
• Communicate findings, recommendations, and BI project updates to stakeholders
• Participate in testing and validating new reporting systems and processes
• Overall contribute to ongoing optimization efforts in business intelligence
• Other responsibilities as directed by the Group Resource Manager

• Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Data Analytics, Supply Chain, Accounting, or related degrees
• Knowledge of basic accounting principles
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to synthesize information from multiple sources into cohesive models
• Ability to represent information effectively to a wide variety of stakeholders in mediums including verbal, presentations, email, reports, and visuals
• Willingness to independently research and learn processes or systems
• Excellent command of Windows programs including excel
