The Med/Surg RN is responsible for coordinating comprehensive nursing care for patients in the Med/Surg Unit, engaging in patient and family education, and leading interdisciplinary collaboration in alignment with AMH's mission and nursing standards. Key responsibilities include conducting organized pre and post-operative assessments, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment, and demonstrating knowledge of growth and development across all age groups. The RN will evaluate patient data to tailor care to individual needs and will pursue ongoing education to enhance nursing competencies and professional growth.
The Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse is tasked with coordinating comprehensive nursing care for patients in the ICU, including supporting families during the dying process. Responsibilities include conducting organized admission assessments, formulating nursing diagnoses, and planning patient-centric care with clear goals and prioritized approaches. The RN implements strategies for patient involvement in health management and evaluates progress toward goals to adjust care plans as needed. Additionally, the ICU RN actively seeks educational resources to enhance skills and knowledge, contributing to their professional growth while collaborating as part of the interdisciplinary team to fulfill Adams Memorial Hospital’s mission, vision, and values.
This position is eligible for a $20,000 sign-on bonus!
This position will be split between Med Surg and ICU.
Requirements
36 hours per week - First Shift
Med Surg hours are 6:45 AM -7:15 PM and ICU hours are 3:45 AM - 4:15 PM.
Every Third Weekend
Valid RN license in the State of Indiana
BLS/CPR Certification Required
ACLS and PALS Certifications Required Within 6 Months of Hire
Eligible for medical coverage on your first day of employment, all other benefits will be effective the 1st of the month following hire date!
