A reputable nationwide law firm is seeking a skilled Defense Products Liability and Premises Liability Associate Attorney with at least five years of litigation experience to join their dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in defending complex liability cases, including product defects, premises liability claims, and general negligence matters.
Responsibilities:
- Defend manufacturers, retailers, property owners, and businesses in products liability and premises liability litigation.
- Conduct legal research, drafting, and analysis of case law, statutes, and regulations related to liability defense.
- Prepare pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and legal memoranda.
- Take and defend depositions of plaintiffs, experts, and witnesses.
- Represent clients in court hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
- Develop and execute case strategies in collaboration with senior attorneys and clients.
- Manage case files, maintain detailed records, and ensure compliance with deadlines.
- Provide risk assessment and legal counsel to clients regarding potential liability exposure.
Qualifications:
- J.D. degree from an accredited law school.
- Active bar license in Georiga
- 5 years of experience in defense litigation, with a focus on products liability and premises liability.
- Proven ability to manage cases independently and handle all phases of litigation.
- Excellent legal writing, research, and analytical skills.
- Strong oral advocacy and courtroom experience.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented and deadline-driven environment.
- Experience with client communication, case strategy development, and negotiation.
- Must have experience at a defense litigation firm.
- Trial experience is a plus.
