Location: Fully Onsite - the attorney will get own office in San Juan Capistrano, CA

About Us: Sucessful boutique firm is looking for a litigation specialist with at least 5 years of insurance defense litigation. The firm pride themselves on providing exceptional legal services to their clients while fostering a collaborative and dynamic work environment. They are seeking a skilled and motivated Temporary Insurance Defense Litigation Attorney to join the team and assist with a high volume of cases during a period of increased demand.

Job Overview: The Temporary Insurance Defense Litigation Attorney will be responsible for managing and litigating a caseload of insurance defense matters. The matter is complex, representing a group of restaurant employees. This role requires strong analytical skills, excellent legal research and writing abilities, and the capability to handle complex legal issues with minimal supervision. The successful candidate will work closely with our partners and senior attorneys to ensure the best outcomes for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Case Management: Independently manage a diverse caseload of insurance defense matters from inception through resolution.
• Legal Research: Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support case strategies and client defense.
• Drafting Documents: Prepare and draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and responses.
• Client Interaction: Communicate regularly with clients, providing updates on case progress and advising on legal matters.
• Negotiation: Engage in settlement negotiations and alternative dispute resolution processes as needed.
• Case Strategy: Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop and implement case strategies and legal arguments.
• Compliance: Ensure all legal procedures and practices are in compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

Qualifications:

• Education: Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Licensure: Active license to practice law in CA
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in insurance defense litigation or a related field.
• Skills:
  • Strong understanding of insurance defense law and litigation processes.
  • Excellent analytical, research, and writing skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously with attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with OSHA/Representing Restaurant Employees
• Prior experience in a temporary or contract attorney role.

Compensation Upon Hire:

Salary: $110-120k, $130k for 3

Bonuses: 90 day probation; post 90 entitlement comes into effect. After 6 month, performance review (discretionary bonus) and anniversary bonus.

Benefits: Medical, Retirement of 1/25 will have profit sharing
