This firm is dedicated to providing personalized and strategic legal services to individuals and families. We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Estate Planning Paralegal to join this team and assist in delivering exceptional legal support to clients.
Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare and draft estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and advance healthcare directives.
- Assist attorneys in trust administration and probate matters, including preparing probate pleadings, inventories, and accountings.
- Conduct legal research and gather necessary documentation related to estate planning and probate cases.
- Communicate with clients, financial institutions, and court personnel regarding estate matters.
- Maintain and organize client files, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Prepare and file legal documents with the appropriate courts and agencies.
- Monitor case deadlines and assist attorneys in case management.
- Provide general administrative support as needed.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a paralegal, preferably in estate planning, probate, or trust administration.
- Paralegal certificate from an accredited program preferred.
- Strong knowledge of California estate planning and probate laws.
- Proficiency in legal document preparation and court filing procedures.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
- Proficiency in legal software, Microsoft Office Suite, and case management systems.
