Trial Attorney / Defense Counsel - Partner Track (Opportunity for Succession Planning)
San Diego, CA (Hybrid; in-office preferred, with fully remote options considered - must be available for court appearances)

Key Responsibilities:
* Manage cases from start to finish, including depositions (general and expert), trial court appearances, and detailed trial preparation (motions, expert preparation, etc.)
* Tackle complex matters such as 1st party bad faith defense for property carriers, insurance defense, bad faith, and coverage disputes
* Cultivate and maintain strong client relationships
* Drive business development initiatives while consistently upholding the firm's high standards of service
* Represent the firm in cases across California, with occasional travel (1-2 trips per year) fully supported by the firm (hotel, rental car, airfare)
Qualifications:
* At least 10 years of trial litigation experience with a strong background in defense
* Proven success as a trial attorney, with a history of leading trials and managing complex cases
* Expertise in insurance defense, coverage civil litigation defense, and overall trial process management
* Exceptional time management and interpersonal skills, with the ability to excel under high-pressure deadlines
Compensation & Benefits:
* Base salary of $180K-$200K, with the potential to earn up to $250K through a performance-based bonus structure
* Approximately 1,800 hours annually for trial attorneys and about 1,950 hours annually for partner-level roles
* Profit sharing and potential equity participation
