We are seeking a part-time team member who will represent Adams, Inc. when meeting homeowners as well as inspectors at commercial and residential locations, following the installation of automatic standby generators. This position requires strong communication and customer service skills as well as a basic understanding of common electrical equipment.
The pay for this position is based on recent, relevant experience and ranges from $20.00/hr. to $25.00/hr. (paid weekly). The schedule varies depending on need. This is a part-time, as-needed position (less than 20 hrs. per week). No benefits are offered for this role.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Travel to customers’ homes to meet inspectors
- Removing and replacing covers on various types of electrical equipment, e.g. transfer switches, distribution panels, etc.
- Cycle standby generators through outage tests
- Use software programs associated with the construction services industry to input data, and display permits when necessary.
- Communicate directly with customers when arriving and working at their residence.
- Communicate inspection results with Production Manager.
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Education and Certification Requirements:
- HS Diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (past five-years)
Minimum Experience Requirements:
- Experience using common hand tools such as screw drivers and side cutters
- Basic knowledge of residential electrical equipment, e.g. where to find a distribution panel in a customer’s residence, etc.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is regularly required to talk and hear. The Team Member often needs to sit, stand, walk, and use their hands for various tasks. Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds of weight. Must be able to use a ladder and climb up and down stairs as needed. Specific vision abilities this job requires include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
Schedule:
This position requires flexibility in your daily hours, dependent on inspection schedules.
Computer Skills:
PC and Tablet proficiency is required, with experience in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel and Outlook. Must be able to learn various software applications to view, review, and log in information.
Reasoning Ability:
Requires the ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables. Can interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Mathematical Skills:
Must be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Language Skills:
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Requires mastery of business English language skills to read, analyze, and interpret information, policies and procedures, and/or governmental regulations. Able to write reports and business correspondence.
Work Environment:
