We are seeking a Purchasing & Inventory Control Assistant to help maintain the organization’s inventory and ordering of purchases. This position is a combination of office/administrative work and warehouse duties.

We are seeking a Purchasing & Inventory Control Assistant to help maintain the organization’s inventory and ordering of purchases. This position is a combination of office/administrative work and warehouse duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain consistent stock of inventory and orders new stock up to pre-authorized limit as inventory decreases.
- Coordinate with managers to maintain inventory levels.
- Ensure purchasing documents are complete and accurate
- Reconciliation of purchase orders and order confirmations
- Maintain accurate daily records of goods received
- Receive material information into business software system
- Generate return authorization requests as needed
- Conduct periodic cycle counts and assists with physical inventory
- Operate forklift truck
- Stock shelves, assists with labeling of inventory as needed
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Experience Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (past 5-years)
- Some experience placing and removing pallets using a forklift is preferred (will train)
- Familiarity with purchasing and inventory concepts is preferred (will train)
- Experience with computerized inventory systems preferred (will train)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Schedule:
The schedule for this role is primarily Monday – Friday, day-time hours. Later hours and weekends may be required depending on our workload and the needs/schedules of our customers/clients. This position is 100% on-site at our location in Elkhorn, WI.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the Employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The Employee is frequently required to sit, stand, bend, twist, walk, and use hands. The Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds of weight. Specific vision abilities this job requires include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
Computer Skills:
PC proficiency is required, with experience in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel and Outlook
Reasoning Ability:
Requires the ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables. Can interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Mathematical Skills:
Must be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
