Ellensburg Daily Record has an opening for an Advertising Director. The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated individual who is an effective presenter, a creative and strategic ideas generator. This candidate must possess good oral and written comprehension, deductive reasoning, and excellent managerial skills. A strong work ethic and ability to motivate staff while leading by example are essential. Additionally, the ideal candidate must have strong interpersonal skills, client orientation, and the ability to work effectively with internal and external contacts as both a team member and a team leader.
Essential Functions :
- Manage the local sales strategy from a business, sales, and technical perspective.
- Assist with projections for local advertising.
- Consistently meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets.
- Develop a plan of action to grow local print and digital revenue and motivate staff accordingly.
- Hold the team accountable for revenue goals, KPIs, and other metrics.
- Rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
Minimum Qualifications :
Technology Skills : Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook / Thunderbird) required. Ability to learn other relevant software programs and teach direct reports is paramount.
Education : Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
