Founded in 1937, Adams Ranch is a fourth-generation, family-owned cattle business headquartered in Fort Pierce, Florida. Operating across approximately 40,000 acres in St. Lucie, Madison, Okeechobee, and Osceola Counties, we are recognized as a leading cow-calf ranch in the United States. We seek an experienced Bookkeeper to join our small team of 20-25 employees and contribute to the ongoing success and legacy of Adams Ranch.
Role Description:
We are looking for an experienced Bookkeeper to perform all daily accounting tasks. You will help our department run smoothly, ensuring transparency and efficiency in all transactions. You will also lead all quarterly and end-of-year filings by being a liaison between our CPAs and Auditors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage QuickBooks Online, including recording transactions and reconciling accounts
- Process payroll through ADP, ensuring compliance with all aspects of payroll management
- Maintain accounts payable, bank reconciliations, and sales tax reporting
- Handle real estate tax bills and ensure timely payments
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in business administration, accounting, or a related field is a plus
- Minimum 3 years of proven bookkeeping experience
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online with a strong understanding of financial reporting
- Comprehensive payroll experience, including processing through ADP and ensuring compliance with payroll regulations
- Accounts payable and receivable expertise
- Sales tax reporting experience, with the ability to accurately record and file monthly sales tax for the state of Florida
- Familiarity with real estate financials, including property-related expenses and billing processes
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace, particularly Excel and Sheets
- Good mathematical skills and the ability to spot numerical errors
- Strong multitasking, organizational skills, and time management
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Experience (Helpful but Not Required):
- Agriculture/ranch bookkeeping experience, particularly in cattle operations (Recording cattle sales, reporting to the state of Florida, etc.)

Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
