What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Specialist position at Adams State University?
Position Summary:
This full-time, benefits eligible, position is funded through the Title V Ascender grant to provide daily administrative support. This position will report to the Title V Project Director and Activity Coordinator. This grant funded position that conclude with the end of the grant.The Project Specialist will be responsible for a range of duties, including but not limited to:
- Administrative support
- Manage in-take and filing of paperwork that is entered into Workday
- Coordinate meetings including scheduling, set-up, and recording minutes
- Serving as a liaison
- Budget
- Assist with budget management as needed
- Maintain purchasing logs to reconcile with budget
- Event support
- Coordinate travel to conferences and events
- Assist with set-up and take-down of events on and off campus
- Develop required documents for events
- Communications
- Assist with communications for Title V office
- Prepare communication plan as needed for initiatives
- Data management
- Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment
- Compile evaluation data for reports
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Technology proficiency, including: Microsoft Office, Google Suite, Dropbox, email, word processing, media set-up, graphic design, video-conferencing
- Excellent organizational/communication skills
- Experience working in data management preferred
- Knowledge of higher education academic and non-academic programs required to complete essential functions and responsibilities
- Experience working with underserved student populations
- Relevant ability working with diverse populations.
- Understanding the role of ASU as an Hispanic Serving Institution
- Ability to treat others with respect, civility, and courtesy and to work honestly, effectively, and collegiality with employees, students, and the community. This includes the ability to use appropriate conflict management skills to effectively manage any disagreement that might arise or to bring the disagreement to management for assistance in productive resolution when the situation requires.

Salary and Benefits:
The salary range for this position is $38,412-$43,692.
