What are the responsibilities and job description for the Plant Manager position at Adams Thermal Systems?
The Plant Manager will lead the Operations team responsible for the manufacture, assembly, and on-time delivery of high quality heat exchangers, products and systems.
Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Management of the Operations Team.
- Maximize efficiency through the design and implementation of improved manufacturing strategies and allocate assets and resources to meet quality, safety, cost, delivery, and volume and productivity goals.
- Utilize problem solving methodology to understand root cause and drive improvements.
- Support lean initiatives and develop lean culture throughout the organization.
- Benchmark and establish performance metrics, collect and report results.
- Manage the budget and personnel expenses and deliver on commitments by controlling cost, capital, inventory and assets.
- Assure compliance with all federal, state, local and corporate policies, laws, and regulations.
Skills/Abilities:

- Experienced strategic planner with qualitative and quantifiable results.
- Demonstrated success working in and providing strategic direction in a rapidly growing organization.
- Ability to build infrastructure, policies, programs which support business goals.

Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in operations, engineering or related technical field required, with advanced technical or business administration degree preferred.
- Knowledge of, and experience in, lean manufacturing or Toyota Production System (TPS) including deployment preferred.
- Five plus years experience in manufacturing management required.
- Ten or more years in an automotive or Tier 1 Supplier manufacturing environment preferred.
- Financial Management, Process Management, and Project Management skills and abilities with demonstrated success.
