This is an in person position requiring reporting to the corporate office daily.
Job Summary: The Authorization Specialist has the primary responsibility to ensure efficient communication and coordination of insurance-related matters between Adapt for Life, our clients and insurance providers. This includes verifying insurance benefits, coordinating service authorizations, and resolving any issues related to client insurance coverage and eligibility. This is a salary non-exempt position.
Responsibilities:
- Authorizations Support
- Data Entry into Company Management Software
- Submitting authorizations request to insurance payors
- Coordination internally and externally regarding authorizations
- Patient Insurance Management
- Verifying patient insurance eligibility
- Sending patient invoices
- Coordination internally and externally regarding patient insurance
- Communicating with client families
- Administrative Support
- Scanning and distributing mail
- Distributing inventory to clinics
- Answering the phone
- Reviewing and distributing faxes
- Develops strong working relationships with management at the Adapt for Life’s clinics to promote coordinated, efficient, and effective services for new clients. Maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders and providing excellent customer service while representing Adapt for Life
- Maintains strong relationships with insurance departments and representatives to efficiently oversee client service authorizations
- Communicates professionally with both internal and external stakeholders
- Any additional tasks requested of your supervisor
Job Requirements:
- Must have clean criminal background checks.
- Must be available to work Monday-Friday, between the hours of 8am and 5pm.
- This position may require work outside of normal business hours.
- This position will primarily work out of the corporate office and occasionally from home.
- Must demonstrate excellent time-management, punctuality, and reliability.
- Must have excellent organizational skills.
- Must be fluent with various funding sources (i.e. private insurance companies, Medicaid) to properly bill for rendered services.
- Must be dedicated to and supportive of the growth and success of Adapt for Life.
