Position Overview:
Adaptive Heroes is seeking a professional and compassionate part-time Bus Driver to join our team in Colorado. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting our mission by transporting therapists and equipment safely and on time, ensuring excellent customer service and adherence to all state and federal transportation regulations.

Key Responsibilities
1. Safe Transportation
o Operate a company bus safely and efficiently while adhering to all Colorado state traffic laws and company policies.
o Ensure client safety during boarding, and disembarking the vehicle.
2. Support Mobile Therapy Services
o Assist with loading and unloading therapy equipment and materials as needed.
o Transport therapy equipment and necessary supplies to designated locations in rural and frontier areas of Colorado.
3. Customer Service
o Provide courteous and respectful assistance to therapists, clients, and their families.
o Assist passengers with securing wheelchairs, walkers, and other mobility devices as required.
4. Vehicle Maintenance
o Perform pre- and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in proper working condition.
o Report maintenance or repair needs to the fleet manager promptly.
o Makes small necessary repairs to equipment on the bus.
o Maintains the bus in a clean, sanitary condition.
5. Compliance and Record Keeping
o Maintain accurate trip logs, including mileage, passenger counts, and incidents.
o Comply with all DOT regulations and company policies, including drug and alcohol testing requirements.

Qualifications
- Licensing & Certification:
o Valid Colorado Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Passenger (P) endorsement.
o Must meet DOT physical requirements and hold a valid Medical Examiner’s Certificate.
Experience:
o Previous experience as a bus driver or commercial vehicle operator preferred.
o Familiarity with therapy services is a plus.
Skills:
o Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
o Ability to handle unexpected situations calmly and effectively.
o Basic knowledge of vehicle mechanics and emergency procedures.
- Other Requirements:
o Must pass state and federal background checks.
o Must pass FMCSA drug and alcohol tests.
