We are looking for a Data Administrator to join our team.
Responsibilities
- SQL and Oracle database administration, configuration, load balancing, backup / recovery, sizing and space management, RAC, PL / SQL tuning, and diagnostics.
- Installing, upgrading, and supporting SQL and Oracle databases and the associated application software technology stacks in a multi-tier environment. This includes database server, applications server, web server, WebLogic server, concurrent processing, reports, and forms.
- Experience opening, managing, and resolving Microsoft SRs while working directly with support.
- Support of business functions such as continuity plans and documentation of DB support functions.
- Proficient in monitoring and tuning databases to provide maximum uptime of service and high performance of applications. (LogicMonitor and Idera)
- Relational database administration including user accounts, basic networking, schema creation / manipulation, performance tuning, server hardware and DB monitoring, implementing database patches and upgrades, and normal routine DBA activities.
- Evaluate, research, and recommend emerging technology solutions.
- Ability to provide 24x7 on-call and off-hour support as needed.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and plan practical solutions to resolve system problems.
- Understand infrastructure related security concepts and strategies and apply that to ensure systems meet or exceed standards.
- Collaborate with vendors and other relevant IT personnel as required in support of enterprise applications, and hardware.
- Maintain high level technology skill proficiencies through continued education and training opportunities in related to areas of responsibility and interest.
- Maintain and respect all confidential information.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
