Network Administrator
Adaptive Solutions Group is a premier provider of information technology personnel. We provide a variety of technical professionals available for contract, contract-to-hire, or direct placement positions to companies in and around the St. Louis and Kansas City areas.
We are seeking a Network Administrator to join our team.
Responsibilities :
Monitor network devices, interfaces, and applications to ensure optimal performance and connectivity.
Identify and troubleshoot routine network issues and escalate incidents as necessary.
Create and track incident tickets, assign them based on priority, and communicate network-related issues effectively.
Perform installations, updates, and testing of network software, including patches and upgrades.
Configure and monitor network equipment, including layer 2 and layer 3 devices.
Implement and utilize network monitoring and performance tools.
Assist with network cabling tasks, including installations, changes, and removals.
Provide technical support to internal and external users and educate end users on networking technologies.
Maintain documentation of network configurations, processes, and troubleshooting steps.
Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies. Required Qualifications :
Associate degree in computer science, information technology, or a related technical field, or equivalent work experience.
1-3 years of network administration experience, including :
Working with Cisco network equipment.
Utilizing network monitoring and diagnostic tools.
Configuring and deploying networking devices.
Troubleshooting network-related issues.
Installing and testing network software updates.
Proficiency in Visio, Word, and Excel. Preferred Qualifications :
CCNA or equivalent Cisco certification.
Experience configuring and monitoring Cisco WLAN Controllers.
Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret data effectively.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
