About the Role
AVS Technology is seeking a detail-oriented and eager-to-learn Junior EDI Developer to support our data exchange and integration processes. This is a great opportunity for someone with foundational EDI or integration experience who wants to expand their technical skills and gain exposure to real-world business operations. You'll assist in the setup, monitoring, and troubleshooting of EDI transactions and work with internal and external partners to ensure seamless data flow.
What You’ll Do
- Assist in the design, development, testing, and deployment of EDI solutions
- Monitor and troubleshoot inbound/outbound EDI transactions (e.g., 850, 855, 856, 810, 997)
- Perform mapping and translation using EDI tools or platforms (e.g., Gentran, IBM Sterling, Dell Boomi, MuleSoft)
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to resolve data and connectivity issues
- Maintain trading partner relationships and configuration documentation
- Follow standard operating procedures and contribute to process improvements
- Assist in onboarding new trading partners and updating existing configurations
What We’re Looking For
- 4-5 years of experience working with EDI systems, integrations, or similar data exchange platforms
- Familiarity with common EDI transaction sets (X12, EDIFACT) and communication protocols (AS2, FTP, SFTP, VAN)
- Basic understanding of data mapping, transformation, and validation
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and documentation habits
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment
Nice-to-Have Skills (Not required but a plus!)
- Experience with any EDI tools (e.g., Gentran, IBM Sterling, SPS Commerce, Boomi, MuleSoft)
- Familiarity with ERP systems like SAP, NetSuite, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics
- Basic SQL or scripting knowledge
- Exposure to APIs and web services
- Understanding of supply chain or logistics processes
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
- Relevant experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree

Pay: $77,000.00 - $83,000.00 per year
