JOB SUMMARY
The Maintenance Technician I, II, or III (depending on experience) is expected to perform demand and preventive maintenance and repair of facilities and equipment at Adare’s Ohio Manufacturing and R&D facility. The mission of the Department is unimpeded availability of Facilities and Equipment. The Maintenance Technician I, II or III is critical to fulfilling this mission.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES
Level I, II, or III will be dependent on the candidate’s education, years’ of relevant experience, and demonstrated knowledge and skills.

JOB SUMMARY

The mission of the Department is unimpeded availability of Facilities and Equipment. The Maintenance Technician I, II or III is critical to fulfilling this mission.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES
- Assure equipment and facilities are operational, functional, and in good repair.
- Trouble-shoot and repair facilities and equipment
- Complete maintenance on electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems.
- Complete preventive maintenance including checking and changing fluids, lubricating, packing mechanical units, maintaining filters, and equipment inspections.
- Inspect, repair, and replace electronic and pneumatic instruments.
- Disassemble/reassemble equipment.
- Set up and move new or existing equipment.
- Support Engineering group in completing capital projects.
- Assist instrument calibration and equipment validation.
- Perform tasks in accordance with all applicable OSHA, cGMP, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and company Environmental, Safety, and Health procedures.
- Complete demand and preventive maintenance work orders. Submit completed forms to the computerized maintenance system. Input data as necessary.
- Support and promote safety and cGMP programs.
- Follow other job-related instructions and complete other job-related tasks as necessary or as assigned by the Engineering Manager.
- Attends work on a regular and predictable basis.
- Completes assigned tasks in a safe manner and in a constant state of alertness.
- Upholds Company policies, including the Professional Conduct Policy and Prohibition Against Harassment Policy, and the Business Ethics and Conduct Code.
- Works in a cooperative manner with managers, supervisors, coworkers, customers, and the public.
- Works effectively under deadlines.
Level I, II, or III will be dependent on the candidate’s education, years’ of relevant experience, and demonstrated knowledge and skills.
- High school diploma or equivalency is required.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in maintenance, GMP experience strongly preferred
- Knowledge of digital control systems and programmable controllers is preferred.
- Ability to learn and assimilate technical matters, troubleshoot machine problems, recommend solution and/or fix problems is required.
- Working knowledge of the basics of electricity, pneumatics, hydraulics, and general mechanics is required.
- Working knowledge of electrical power distribution and control
- Ability to read wiring diagrams and control circuits
- Ability to use measuring instruments
- Working knowledge of personal computers
- Experience with computerized maintenance systems is preferred.
- Knowledge of chemicals and hazardous materials is preferred.
- Experience with calibration and/or validation is preferred.
- Specialized training in electronics/metrology is preferred.
- Instrument Technician Certification is preferred.
