- Employee Recognition Programs We are seeking to hire a 2nd Shift Mechanic I, II, or III to join our Packaging Team. If any of the below describes you, we would love to meet you! JOB SUMMARY The Packaging Mechanic I, II, or III is a key member of the packaging team, and is responsible for repairs, maintenance of equipment in the Packaging Department, and ensuing that all department equipment functions properly to meet production requirements. The Mechanic also maintains equipment to meet SOP and cGMP specifications, troubleshoots, and diagnoses equipment failure able to source problems and repair equipment. This Mechanic should be proficient in dismantling and reassembling equipment and using appropriate tools to perform repairs. RESPONSIBILITIES AND LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES
- Works in a team environment with management to ensure departmental goals are prioritized and met.
- Gives direction and support to the other mechanics when needed.
- Ensures that machines are properly maintained and PM’s are performed and documented monthly.
- Serves as primary troubleshooter for all equipment in the department.
Contacts equipment vendors when mechanical problems arise.
Pharmaceutical manufacturing experience preferred.
Ability to write reports, memos and correspondence.
Ability to effectively present information required.
Ability to deal with problems involving concrete variables in standardized situations.
