What are the responsibilities and job description for the Direct Support Professional- Glendale PG position at Adas-adama Developmental Assistance & Support Llc?
ADAS operate multiple DDD group homes in TUCSON, MESA GLENDALE and PHOENIX Our ADHS- licensed, DDD Group Homes are open 24 hours a day 7 days a week and 365 days a year. We have various shift that will meet your needs. Our caregivers work with medical care teams and case workers to provide care to our members ranging from basic household tasks to accompanying the members to their doctors appointment.
- Provides assistance, monitoring and/or training to individuals in the area of self-care, self-direction, independence, mobility and learning as directed by the Individual Service Plan (ISP) in order to enhance each individual's skill development, health, freedom and personal dignity.
- Maintains cleanliness of environment
- Possesses effective communication skills
- Assists in behavior management/Crisis intervention. Provides health care including, but not limited to, medication administration, nutrition, allergies, meal planning, etc
- Assists with safety skills including but not limited to basic first aid, fire drills, handle emergency situations
- Maintains confidentiality and privacy
- Meets requirements of federal, state, and local organizations. Processes and maintains meticulous record keeping
- Maintains optimum attendance and reliability
- Practices good judgment and has ability to evaluate and anticipate consequences
- Plus other duties as assigned
As a Caregiver / Direct Care Professional
- You are a mandatory reporter. If you suspect any type of abuse or neglect; you will contact the appropriate authorities, DCS/APS, and your direct supervisor.
- Completion of Incident Reports as directed.
- Maintaining current qualifications and trainings.
Standard Shifts
Our standard shifts vary between day, night, and overnight shifts throughout the week, but we promote flexibility within your preferred schedule! Below you will find information over standard shifts our DSPs work.
- 10 hour shifts
- 12 hour shift
- 8 hour shift

- Monday to Friday
- Night shift
- On call
- Overtime
- Weekend availability
Basic Qualifications:
- 18 years of age or older
- 1 year of Caregiving experience preferred
- High School or equivalent preferred
- Driver licensed preferred.
- CPR/First Aid Certified
- Article 9
- Prevention & Support
- Ability to obtain/maintain a valid Drivers License
- Proficient with the English language: written and verbal
- Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or schedule form
- Must be able to frequently lift/move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and move more than 100 pounds
- Ability to complete training programs and successfully pass associated tests
- Ability to obtain a Level 1 Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card and pass a background check as required by state and federal regulations
